Concord Lamp and Shade works with designers and artisans from around the country to create unique, custom designed lampshades for both individual and commercial applications.
We fabricate hardback and silk lampshades using a wide range of materials. Our fabric options include silks, linens, and cottons, as well as decorative papers and photographs. The possible lampshade creations are endless when you factor in the vast number of lampshades shapes and sizes we can create, and the fabric, trim and pleating options we provide. Customers may also elect to supply their own fabrics and trims.

Common Lampshade Materials
- Fabrics such as cotton, gingham, jersey, leather, linen, silk, satin, suede, polyester, tweed, twill, velvets can be used to fabricate your lampshades. Your lampshade style and fabric selection will enhance the design of your room in color, texture and detail. We can also create a shade(s) using fabric you have already used in your curtains, pillows or upholstery.
- Paper from thin stock to heavy card stock can be used to create your lampshade(s). The paper can be colored, drawn on, stretched or pierced. We can also fabricate lampshades from paper maps and charts as well as photographs.

Shade Pleats

Fitters are the way the lampshade connects to the rest of the lighting fixture. A washer fitter is the preferred fitter for most lamps, but other options are available.
