Concord Lamp & Shade is located in historic Concord, Massachusetts. Site of the initial battle in the Revolutionary War, the Battle of Lexington and Concord, Concord also has a remarkable literary history. Home to Louisa May Alcott, Henry David Thoreau, and Ralph Waldo Emerson, among others, Concord is also home to Walden Pond - the subject of many great literary works and photographs.
Directions from Boston
Take Storrow Drive to Route 2 West and follow the signs to Concord. At the second set of lights (the Mobil station is ahead on your left), go straight across onto the Cambridge Turnpike. Continue to the first stop sign, and bear left at the fork, onto Lexington Road. Take the first left turn off of Lexington Road onto Haywood Street. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Walden Street, and proceed about 1/10th of a mile; Concord Lamp & Shade at 21 Walden St. will be on your right.
Directions from Points North or South using Rt. 128
Take Rt. 128 to Route 2 West and follow the signs to Concord. At the second set of lights (the Mobil stations is ahead on your left), go straight across onto the Cambridge Turnpike. Continue to the first stop sign, and bear left at the fork, onto Lexington Road. Take the first left turn off of Lexington Road onto Haywood Street. At the first traffic sign, turn right onto Walden Street, and proceed about 1/10th of a mile; Concord Lamp & Shade at 21 Walden St. will be on your right.
Alternatively, you may continue on Route 2 West to the third set of stop lights. At this intersection, turn right onto Route 126 – which is also Walden St. Follow Walden St. through a stop sign and straight into Concord Center. Concord Lamp and Shade at 21 Walden St. will be on your right about 1/10th of a mile from the stop sign.
Directions from Points North or South using I495
Follow I495 to Route 2 East. At the Concord Rotary, take the second exit, following the signs to Route 2 East. At the fourth set of lights, take a left onto Route 126 which is also Walden Street. Follow Walden St. through a stop sign and straight into Concord Center. Concord Lamp & Shade at 21 Walden St. will be on your right about 1/10th of a mile from the stop sign.
Parking
Metered parking is available on both sides of the street throughout Concord Center. In addition, there are two large municipal parking lots; the first is located behind the Post Office on Walden Street, and the second lot is on Keyes Street, behind the Middlesex Savings Bank and the Concord graveyard.
